Cross-Ice Hockey

Fox Motors Hockey Club Cross-Ice Program

**Note: Prior skating experience is required.  New skater? Start in our Learn to Skate program first**

The Cross-Ice Hockey Program is based on the model of practicing and playing hockey across the ice surface as compared to practicing and playing lengthwise along the full length of the ice surface.  Players will learn the skills necessary to move up to Mite Hockey or their age appropriate level, while having an enjoyable time in a fun, exciting and competitive environment.

The Objectives of the program are:

ü  Give every child a chance to play hockey and experience a feeling of success

ü  Create the same exciting and fun environment as in a “real” game

ü  Keep children excited and motivated to continue playing hockey

2020-2021 CROSS-ICE HOCKEY

We will be offering Cross-Ice Opportunities at Southside Ice Arena and Kentwood Ice Arena. Tuesdays at Southside or Wednesdays at Kentwood Ice Arena are formatted as follows: 50 minute of cross-ice hockey instruction, teaching drills, and other skills to join a team.  All Cross-Ice players will be at Southside on Saturdays.  Teams will be formed based on the number of participants and age groups and teams will play 3-on-3 hockey.
